5ingersolrand impact
By Paul J. Pollet
I bought this tool for a certified mechanic, my son-in-law, who is pretty particular. He loved it and said it out performed his older model he was replacing. It is the best he has used, plenty of torque and a quality product. Info provided by Amazon was spot on. Delivery was excellent. First class all around.

5If you want the best...
By JT
Well let me start off by saying that i work in a dealership as a technician and i use this gun every single day. If you want the best 1/2 gun out on the market, i would definitely buy this one hands down. Compared to the best snap on gun, this thing has got it beat. It only weighs 3.9 LBS which is amazing for a 1/2" gun, believe me when i say this, especially if you are constantly using your gun, the weight factor plays a huge part. Sure the snap on 500 dollar 1/2" gun has a little bit more bolt break away torque, but does this justify doubling the price of the 2135TImax?? the bolt break away torque is through the roof and it will take off anything you will need it to in an automotive shop.. About 5-6 drops of oil in the bottom of the gun where you connect the shop air, and don't forget to grease your gun every 45 hours with 8-10 pumps of grease. 2 year warranty, and oh yea, did i mention that 5 out of the 7 techs have one of these impact tools. BUY THIS YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY YOU DID.

5Lightweight, but not light powered
By railroad124
This is my second Ingersoll Rand Titanium Impact Gun. My first one lasted eight years of everyday use. I am a technician at a busy NY dealership and the guns out perform all others.

Powerful Inflator Meets a Range of Needs
With inflation power up to 160 PSI, the ASI300 can take care of a range of inflation tasks. Pump up an air mattress for an impromptu guest room, top off your bike tires for a long, worry-free trail ride, or just tuck it in a corner of your trunk for added peace of mind.
Convenient, Easy-to-Use Integrated Gauge
The ASI300's integrated gauge keeps tabs on air pressure, so you don't have to remove the hose to take readings. And you won't ever have to worry about over inflation--dial in the pressure you want and the ASI300 automatically shuts off once it's reached. The red-faced gauge is illuminated, perfect for use when setting up camp after sundown or inflating a tire along a dark road.

The ASI300 is ideal for small tasks around your home or garage, and its compact size makes it a handy tool to have in your vehicle, RV, or watercraft. Store it in your car or truck to keep your tires at optimal pressure for on or off road use, or stow it on your boat to quickly inflate rafts, inner tubes, and towables. At just 6 pounds, it's light enough to carry from home to car to boat. 4Works well, good value
By J. Kelly
I am pleased with this inflator so far. (I hedge a bit, given the reviews stating that the device has failed for other users. But that's what the warranty is for.) It is easy to use, effective, and convenient with its storage compartment for power cords and inflation hose. I especially like the automatic cutoff feature; I can turn it on and let it do its thing while I'm doing something else. I run my automobile tires at higher pressures than most (60 PSI), and it had no trouble with those. It takes a couple of minutes, of course, but that's to be expected -- this is not a mechanic's air compressor, and I don't expect that level of performance. I haven't tried them on my higher pressure (90 PSI) bicycle tires yet.

Negatives that other reviewers have mentioned and my comments:
* Gauge readability: Yes, it's a little hard to discern small PSI increments on the gauge. But I never rely totally on any pump's or inflator's built-in gauge for my tires; I always verify with a good quality tire pressure gauge. The inflator's gauge and cut-off get me in the ballpark, and then I fine-tune using the tire pressure gauge. They are within 1 or 2 PSI of each other.
* AC power cord length: Not an issue. I likely would have to use an extension cord anyway. And the short power cord adds a bit to its portability -- no fiddling with it or trying to store a long (and useless while traveling) power cord with the device as it sits in my trunk.
* Noise: No worse than any other inflator I've used.
* Small storage compartment for cords and hose: Not too much of a problem, though it might take a little practice to get them coiled up the right way. It's handy to have the compartment.
* Short inflation hose. No shorter than other inflators in this price range I've used. Plenty long enough to reach a valve stem at top dead center with the device on the ground next to the tire.
* Plastic connector that *might* break. I'll judge it if or when it actually breaks, not before.
* Having to cut the power switch off and then on again to run it after an automatic cutoff: Gimme a break, how big a deal is that??

3Better than most in this price range
By E. Qaisar
I have used it for about a week now. It is much better than the one I got from Walmart. The major issue I see is that the pressure gauge on this machine is rather small and it will be hard for you differentiate between 27psi versus 29psi without using an external gauge. My Toyota Camry calls for 29psi and my other car asks for 34psi front and 36psi rear. It was impossible for me to read 34 vs 36 psi on this machine's gauge.

Tip: To get the best out of this machine - get a good external mechanical pressure gauge with a relief valve (you can get a decent one for under $10 at Walmart). Then set the dial on this machine to be slightly over (2-3 psi more) the pressure required (I set it to 30psi when filling my Camry which needs 29 psi). Fill the tires with air using the machine. Then use the external gauge to measure the pressure and release the air using its relief valve until the pressure is at the desired reading. Works like a charm for me.

Other than this, the machine is quite nice and with a 2 year warranty it is a good buy. Amazon's price was amongst the lowest I could find.

3Gets the job done
By William Warner
Overall works pretty well.
Positives:
- All hoses and wires and adaptors store inside the unit, for neatness.
- built-in handle is nice
- long 12V auto power cord
- two-year warranty

Negatives:
- When it stops automatically after inflating one item (such as a tire), it must be turned off and back on to inflate another item, or to increase pressure setting and continue filling.
- the AC power cord is extremely short. Pretty much requires an extension cord.
- the air hose is fairly short.
- The noise it makes is quite loud, though not as loud as some I've heard.
- fitting the cords and hose back into the storage compartment is not easy.
- the valve adapter is plastic, not metal, and doesn't seem sturdy. It works so far, however.

Clever, Practical Design Makes Jobs Easier
Whether you're an occasional do-it-yourselfer or a professional contractor, the Jawhorse will clamp virtually anything you can imagine. The Jawhorse's serious clamping power lets you accomplish tasks that normally require two people on your own.
The strong and versatile Jawhorse can replace your workbenches, sawhorses, clamps, bench vises, and much more. You can use it to hold work materials in place as you tackle jobs like setting fence posts, hanging doors, installing crown moldings, and placing new sheetrock overhead. Even odd-shaped objects like engine blocks can fit neatly in the Jawhorse's grip.
Apply up to 2,200 Pounds of Force--Hands Free
The Jawhorse features a trademarked hands-free foot pedal that lets you apply up to one metric ton (2,200 pounds) of force, so you don't have to worry about materials slipping while you work. And the jaws can be opened up to 37-inches wide, which is enough to hold most doors securely in place. This gives you maximum flexibility on the job.
The Jawhorse also eliminates the need for individual saw stands and complicated vices. A variety of different saws can be locked into the sturdy jaws on this station, allowing you to make precise cuts quickly and safely--no awkward balancing of large boards or one-handed saw operation required. Patented rubber pads help keep you from denting or scratching wood the way you might using traditional vice clamps, making the Jawhorse ideal for finish work.
Durable, Dependable, and Easy to Transport or Store
The Jawhorse features solid all-steel construction along with an extra-wide stance, providing exceptional strength and stability in a wide variety of conditions. There are no moving plastic parts to break. And with a unique, three-legged design, the Jawhorse is easier to balance on uneven terrain than traditional four-legged sawhorses and mobile workbenches.
The Jawhorse is incredibly simple to use. You just set it up, lock it in place, and clamp your project materials or tools down. This quick and easy setup makes the Jawhorse ideal for use on remote worksites and for people who don't have the space in their busy home or apartment for a permanent workbench.
When not in use, the workstation folds down to a compact 29x14x13 inches for easy transport or storage in a small closet. And weighing in at just 43 pounds, it is easy to lift in and out of work rigs.
When unfolded, an integrated roller makes it incredibly easy to move around the workshop or the jobsite. There are holes in two of the three feet so that you can choose to bolt the Jawhorse down for frequent use in your workshop or on big job sites that require more permanence.
Available Accessories Provide Even Greater Versatility
Versatile accessories (sold separately) let you customize the Jawhorse to better meet your individual needs. You can use the Welding jaw to set up a full welding station. The Chainsaw jaw makes it easy to lock saws in place for sharpening, and Saddlebags let you keep all your tools neatly organized and within arms reach. You can also use the Plywood jaw to adapt the Jawhorse for large sheet goods up to 52-inches wide, or set up the Jawhorse as a reliable Miter Saw Station or a more permanent Work Table.

4Plastic parts in key places - beware
By B. Poulton
I have been using the Jawhorse for several projects. Since the Rockwell web site has no customer service email, I would like to make some detailed comments about this product that perhaps you can pass on to your co-workers, managers, friends, etc. This product has several pros and cons, and here they are, straight from an avid woodworker. The Pros: very versatile, very stable, excellent design, most of it is very solidly built, and it is portable, and very useful for a wide range of projects. And, it is worth the money as long as you can put up with a few shortcomings.

Here are the cons. There are 4 key parts in the design that are made of plastic. Three of these 4 parts are also "moving" parts, so the claims on the infomercial and other adds for this product that say "no moving plastic parts to replace" and "all steel construction", are simply not true.

First, lets start with the roller, which is used for rolling the product across a surface as one of the transport methods (while using the rear leg as a handle). This part is made of hollow plastic. Instead, it should be made of solid, hardened rubber (the same kind of material used to make industrial, swiveling coaster wheels) to increase durability.

The second part is the yellow latch in front. It is made of plastic, and it sticks out enough to where it could be easily hit and broken (especially by contractors, and when being transported while folded up).

The third one is the end cap which is fastened at the end of the rear leg, and makes contact with the ground during use. Instead of plastic, this should be made of hard rubber, just like the rubber pads at the end of the front legs.

The fourth part, and most important, is the swiveling brace assembly and tightening nut that holds the rear leg in position. This is definitely the weak link in this product. Either this part, or the latch in front, will be the first parts to be broken on this unit. If this part were made of metal, it probably would be rated at a higher weight capacity.

Other cons of the Jawhorse, when it is folded and to be lifted up to carry it, there is not enough clearance around the rear leg (the space between rear leg and the foot pedal while folded) to get your hand all the way around it for a good grip - you can only get your hand in past the first nuckle - so if you have big nuckles like I do, it might not be comfortable to carry while folded. Also, the foot pedal is not made with as thick a gage steel as the rest of the unit's frame, so you have to be careful that you are pressing the pedal evenly, straight down with a flat foot, and not off to one side, or it might bend easily or get twisted.

Lastly, the owners manual is not very good and it is missing some very key components. It does not say anything as to whether replacement parts (such as the plastic ones mentioned above) are available through Rockwell. Also, there is not a detailed schematic drawing with parts numbers. Both of these problems may make some potential buyers wary that this product might be a throw-away if something gets broken. I did not yet ask Rockwell if parts can be replaced, so this might not be a problem, but if this is the case they ought to tell customers up front. The design is not complicated, and since many folks who buy this are probably mechanically inclined, people want to have the option of ordering parts and fixing it themselves instead of shipping it in for repairs (which many times is way cheaper). This is very important for many buyers.

Lastly, I do not understand the mentality of making such a sturdy, well-designed and versatile product with tough, heavy-gage steel, and then skimping on a few key parts and making them plastic. How much money does the company really save by doing this? I bet that if the company did a survey, a vast majority of buyers would be willing to pay $20, $30, or even $50 more for this product, if these plastic parts were eliminated from the design and replaced with more durable materials. And I doubt that it would add much more weight than maybe 2 or 3 pounds to the unit. This product is a great investment and great piece of equipment, but for it to be built to "last a lifetime" as Rockwell claims, then get rid of the plastic, please !

By the way, on the sticker that is underneath the moveable jaw, it specifically says "Manufactured to Rockwell specifications in China", in case you were wondering. However, I think Positec is poised to be one of the better worldwide manufacturers of quality tools (they have corporate offices in several countries, including the US). To summarize, don't necessarily use my review as justification for not buying one - I am still recommending that all of you should really get one of these. I am glad I did, and so far I can live with the cons I mentioned above because of how versatile and sturdy it is, overall, and the fact that it has done everything that it has claimed it could do, so far.

5Great piece of equipment

This is a quality item and well worth the price. It has already allowed me to do certain jobs that would otherwise not have been possible for me, or not terribly safe. I find it very stable and easy to use. It sets up and folds down efficiently. It's a bit heavy, but needs to be for stability.

I found myself cutting wood, boards or posts by holding the things down with one foot or some other position that wasn't all that safe and decided if I was going to be undertaking such projects I needed to be more careful. This item looked ideal--and it has proved itself repeatedly. I recently had to drill holes in a heavy metal plate, something I'd never tried before. Without this unit to hold the plate securely, I wouldn't have been successful. I got the holes drilled exactly where I wanted them and the two pieces bolted together just right thanks to this extra set of extremely strong hands.

I can see many opportunities for use that will allow me to do things myself that I've had to pay for in the past, or simply not done. It will be nice to have sharp tools again, for example. My son is remodeling his house and is so taken with it, he's buying one too. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Update 1/3/09:
I continue to use and value this piece of equipment. I've added the LogJaw which I use at least weekly to turn fallen sticks from my trees into tight kindling bundles for the fireplace (squeeze them together in the vice and tie with twine) and cut up branches. I've used the JawHorse to hold up the other end of a 16' fence board for fence repair, something I was unable to do alone before getting this thing. I've noted that the little transport wheel works great on pavement, but is too small to roll well in loose gravel so I transport it in my wagon as it's a bit heavy for me to carry. I've been using it so often, I leave it set up most of the time, just covered with a tarp.

5Outstanding piece of equipment !!!!!!!!!!!!!
By C. Borst
I purchased this Rockwell Jawhorse from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Fast delivery and set it up in 2 minutes. Comes completely assembled. Never had a piece of equipment before that was a fold up piece and yet so amazingly sturdy. Used it the first day I received it and have more projects that it will be used on. This is a perfect unit for tradesmen in the field as it folds up very compactly and is easy to carry and place on a back floor or seat of most any kind of vehicle. It does everything the manufacturer says it does and more. I use a lot of jigs in my woodworking and this Jawhorse adds to their effectiveness. Really LIKE this thing.Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse
